30 YEARS IN THE MAKING...
In 1992, Doug and Tanya Bond embarked on a daring adventure...to bring their love of cool, relaxed, community-oriented SF coffeehouses to their hometown of Atlanta, and introduce caffeine-craving souls to the beauty of finely roasted specialty coffee. Thus, San Francisco Coffee came to life, drawing in their neighbors like moths to a fresh-roasted coffee flame.
But what started as a humble java joint evolved into so much more! Prestigious book clubs convened, aspiring authors birthed their literary masterpieces, and communities bonded like beans in an espresso blend. Love blossomed, businesses sprouted, ideas ignited, and it became the bustling, steamy social hub Doug and Tanya had always envisioned.
Doug, our roast master, has taken his knowledge of the craft across the Southeast. He's passionately educated folks on the mysterious world of coffee, even sharing his wisdom including teaching classes at Emory.Â
